Mr. Adekunle Adewoye Fagbure

Founding Chairman

He is a 1978 graduate in Economics (specialization in Accounting), the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982, and later became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He was a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, as well as a former employee of Peat Marwick Casselton Elliot & Co. (now KPMG International) and Nigerian Industrial Development Bank (now Bank of Industry). He also worked with the defunct Alpha Merchant Bank PLC where he ended up as Assistant General Manager, Credit and Legal Division having earlier been the Chief Inspector.

He worked for two years in the Liquidation and Receivership Department of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation before joining his wife in private practice, for the next 21 years. He was the Managing Partner of Kunle Fagbure & Co and Chairman of Omolayole Fagbure & Associates Ultd. He attended several training programs in Nigeria and abroad including the Industrial Project Analysis and Management course, use of Computer Model for Feasibility Analysis and Reporting (COMFAR), and Financial Evaluation course on the use of Computers in the Appraisal Process run by UNIDO and Centre for the Development of Industry, Brussels. Others are computers for Bankers course at Manchester Business School. He had earlier served as the acting Chief Accountant of Bauchi Meat Products Limited between 1978 and 79, during his National Youth Service year.
