Mrs. Patricia Omolara Fagbure

Mrs. Patricia Omolara Fagbure trained with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) between August 1980 and April 1987, having earlier carried out her Primary Assignment under the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme with the same firm. While at Coopers & Lybrand, she became a Chartered Accountant in 1982.

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and is registered with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria. Mrs. Fagbure who earlier graduated from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1979 with B.Sc Economics (Specialization in Accounting), went on to specialize in Business Advisory Services comprising Corporate Governance Expertise and Company Secretarial Practice from 1983 till 1987. She is an affiliate member of ICSA: The Chartered Governance Institute, London, UK and left Coopers & Lybrand at a managerial level, to start her own practice, OMOLAYOLE FAGBURE & ASSOCIATES ULTD in May 1987. The firm has been in business for over 32 years. The clients traverse virtually all sectors of the economy including Manufacturing, Health Care, Financial Services, Insurance, Marketing Communications, Multi-laterals, and other NGOs. In terms of business size, the firm’s experience ranges from Family-Owned Enterprises to Public Limited Companies. She writes freelance for The Guardian and Punch Newspapers. She co-authored “The Director’s First Steps” with her daughter in 2019 and is a Non-Executive Director of AFN Brokers Limited.

Mrs. Fagbure was the Treasurer of the Nigerian Girl Guides Association from 2001 to 2004. She has been Corporate Secretary to well over 100 Companies in the course of her career. In that capacity, she has interacted with the highest echelon of the corporate world, both retired and serving.
